Have your say on the NHS Constitution
The NHS is consulting on the proposed inclusion of new rights in the NHS Constitution. To download a copy of the consultation document, click here.
The consultation proposes:
- a new right to access services within waiting times
- a new right to NHS Health Checks for 40-74 year olds
- possible further rights to be incorporated into the Constitution in the future
- a new role of ‘Constitution Champion’
The NHS Constitution is intended to be a part of everyday life in the NHS. It forms the basis for the relationship between staff, patients and the public built on partnership, respect and shared commitment, where everyone knows what they can expect from the NHS and what is expected from them.
