Does your organisation want to provide positive activities for children and young people across Merton?

Have you thought about widening children and young people's play experiences?

Play Opportunities Fund

Merton's Play Opportunities Fund is awarding grants of up to £10,000 to play projects (working with children aged 8-13 years) which are free of charge, where children are free to choose what they do and free to come and go, unless there is a need for closed access (i.e., supervising children with disabilities).

Projects may include mobile play provision, opening up community spaces for play or mini-play days.

The deadline for applications is Tuesday 26 January 2010.

Positive Activities Fund

Merton's Positive Activities Fund will be awarding grants up to:

• £3,000 for Easter and summer holiday projects (£200 max per day)
• £8,000 for full year projects (minimum of 38 weeks a year)
• £5,000 for programmes working towards reducing offending behaviour
• £5,000 for youth crime prevention projects

for youth projects for 11-19 years (up to 25 years if they have a learning disability) and play-based projects for children aged 8 years and upwards.
