Management Development Programme for leaders and managers of services for young people

The Department for Children, Schools and Families has announced a new training course for frontline managers run by FPM Training.

Click on the document below to download the full brochure. Details of the current programme are on page 6, as is the information about target group and requirements.

The Youth Service is co-ordinating the Merton-based programme and has asked that MVSC circulate to people and interested partners.

Mark Clark (principal Youth Officer) is nominated to co-ordinate this from Merton and there are 20 places available, with at least 50 per cent restricted to the Voluntary Sector. However, in response to the MYP Youth Forum, LBM may consider giving more places to the voluntary sector if there are lots of people who want to do the course.

The first cohort is due to start in October with the second in February 2010. Interested individuals are to contact Mark Clark at mark.clark@merton.gov.uk and copy Rob Mobile in to at rob@mvsc.co.uk

The course is free, but please can you indicate your interest as soon as possible to Mark Clark before the 5th June 2009.
