Aecho Pilot Business Venture
AECHO will pilot its first "business" enterprise on 1st December.
In partnership with the Ethnic Minority Centre, AECHO will be responsible for catering for EMC's monthly Harmony Luncheon Club on a non-profit making basis.
"Ethnic Cuisine" is the name of a business idea which is being developed by a group of women who are on a project called "Women On The Move". Funded by Merton Council and the Wates Foundation, the year long project assists 12 of Merton's newly settled Afro/ Caribbean and Asian women acquire skills which will allow access to work and educational opportunities.
The food, prepared by certificated cooks, reflects the diverse cuisine of the womens' countries of origin. There will be an opportunity to talk to the women and hear their stories, as well network with other individuals and organisations.
