Support for community food groups from Capital Growth

Are you a community food group? Are you thinking of holding a harvest-time event or open day? Capital Growth might be able to help you open up and celebrate your growing spaces with the local community.

They can provide a poster and flyer template, ideas for activities, marketing materials, including a banner and centralised publicity. They can also offer between £50–£75 to be spent on publicity, or prizes or refreshments (subject to demand, location, first come-first served). They can also give you lots of ideas for event activities etc and templates for forms, risk assessments etc.

If you are interested please send a short email stating:

  • when you would like your event to run (ideally on or around 25 September)
  • who you are targeting (local residents or particular groups)
  • if and what you require money for and
  • what other materials/ publicity would be useful
