Changes to Sutton and Merton Clinical Commissioning Groups

Following a review process led by the Chairs of the Sutton Consortium and the Federation (Merton and West Sutton), and in discussion with GP practices and other stakeholders in Sutton and Merton boroughs, there has been a joint decision to revise current arrangements.

The new arrangement will be for two separate emerging Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs), one for each borough. The new arrangement means that the two emerging CCGs will be statutorily separate but will allow for close working in the future where the two CCGs' agendas overlap, as well as allowing for collaboration with other key neighbouring CCGs.

Revised transitional arrangements will come into effect from 1 December and each emerging CCG will be working with their practices to establish the new arrangements.
