Open Leadership and Management Courses from Grenfell Housing and Training

Grenfell Housing and Training is running a series of open Leadership and Management Training courses through  April, June and July.

These courses are eligible for funding under the ESF Leadership and Management Fund (L&M Fund). Grenfell has itself accessed funding through the say funding stream and is offering assistance to eligible organisations to do the same.

Clean and Crafty Meetings
Date: 06/04/10
Venue: Grenfell Housing and Training, South Wimbledon
Course Length: 1 day
Cost: £150 per person (including Lunch and refreshments)

Everyone attends meetings! Formal and informal, pleasant or painful, fun or fearsome – at work and at home - with clients or colleagues, with our children, our partners, students, managers, supervisees, patients, doctors, strangers or friends. This training offers a practical and experiential introduction to models, theories, techniques, processes, structures and practical suggestions for making meetings more meaningful.

Funding Strategies and Bid Writing

Course Length: 2 days
Cost: £600 per person (including Lunch and refreshments on both days)

A two-day accredited training course in Funding Strategies and Bid Writing arms participants with the necessary tools to create an applicable funding strategy for their organisation. The programme trains and supports individuals to understand how bids are marked and how to answer questions accordingly. The programme is accredited by the NOCN and is one unit towards a Level 3 qualification in Managing Voluntary and Community Sector Organisations.

Performance Management

Managing Conflict in the Workplace

This course is designed for anyone wishing to analyse the types of conflict which arise in the course of your work as a line manager, to examine different methods of managing conflict, and their effectiveness to practise skills and techniques for resolving conflict in the workplace. It will use group work, exercises and role plays based on the situations you face in your day to day work to explore conflict and methods of dealing with it, and to practise skills and techniques.
