Kids First Big Debate: How will cuts affect disabled and SEN children?

8 Mar 2011 09:30

You are invited to a Special Event for Parents, Service Providers, MPs and Local Councillors in the
London Borough of Merton.

THE BIG DEBATE
HOW WILL CUTS AFFECT DISABLED AND SEN CHILDREN?

This debate will be run by Kids First, Merton’s forum for parents of children with disabilities and special needs, a project of Merton Mencap. The debate will give decision-makers the opportunity to explain any planned changes in services for disabled children.

A Merton MP, a Merton Councillor and Merton service providers will give short presentations followed by question and answer sessions. Kids First will facilitate a positive discussion, giving parents the opportunity to debate any cuts with decision-makers which may lead to some agreement about spending priorities, as well as areas where cuts may be acceptable, at least in the short term

The Big Debate will be held on

Tuesday, March 8th
9.30am – 1.30pm
The Chaucer Centre
(Main Hall, Canterbury Road, Morden, SM4 6PX)
Lunch is included
