How we set our priorities

LINk Merton consults with a wide range of community groups and individuals, to aks them about their issues and concerns. We use this information to prioritise issues for our work programme, using the following criteria:
  • Is the issue relevant to the role of LINk Merton? It must relate to health or adult social care
  • Is the issue significant to the local community? We look for evidence that the issue is important
  • Is the LINk involvement timely? We consider whether this is the appropriate time for the LINk to investigate the issue
  • Is there an opportunity for LINk to make a difference? We need to be confident that our involvement can have a real impact on the issue
  • Does the range of issues covered meet the needs of different sections of the community? We want to ensure we are meeting the needs of a range of different communities.
  • Does the range of issues covered reflect the LINk’s role in both social care and health issues?
