London Learning Consortium offers fully funded Level 3 Award in Volunteer Management

London learning Consortium is offering the Lantra Level 3 Award in Volunteer Management.

The course is for paid staff or volunteers who supervise at least one volunteer in a voluntary organisation. The course enables participants to develop an awareness of the skills needed to manage volunteers and to employ these skills across a wide range of volunteer environments.

Course Details: The course consists of 60 hours of learning which will be delivered either via a 6-day taught course over 6 months, or e-learning plus (a combination of online learning and face to face contact). You will be required to complete a written case study based on your current practice and experience. You will also obtain feedback from volunteers you manage and your line manager.

Course Location: The first 6-day taught course will be delivered at Wrencote House in Croydon.The dates are to be confirmed, but it is anticipated that the 6-day course will commence in July and run for 6 months.

Eligibility: If you manage or support volunteers you may be eligible for a skills development bursary to cover the full cost of the level 3 Award in Volunteer management. You will need to apply for this by 30 June 2010 by going to http://www.capacitybuilders.org.uk/vmpskills.
