Nominate your community champions in the Merton Excellence Awards 2010

Do you know of a Merton council employee or someone working for the police, local health service or voluntary sector who goes the extra mile for the welfare of the borough? The Merton Excellence Awards offer you a chance to recognise exceptional work in the community.

Nominations can be made online at www.merton.gov.uk/staffexcellenceawards from 29 September. For anyone without a computer, nomination forms will be in all the libraries. The deadline for nominations is 15 October.

Last year’s winners included the team which looks after Merton’s parks, Merton’s family support team and officers involved in consulting with the local community making sure people are able to voice their opinions about council proposals that could directly affect them. Representatives from the police, voluntary sector and local health service also picked up awards for their dedication to public service.
