Merton Art Society

Merton Art Society is an art group which meets one Tuesday a month for talks, practical sessions and critique sessions. It also exhibits twice a year. Everyone is welcome (complete beginners, painters and non-painters).

OUR NEW PROGRAMME starts on SEPT 14th. 2010 Fees remain at £30 for the whole year.

Start time. 7 30pm at THE METHODIST CHURCH, BUCKLEIGH AVE. off MARTIN WAY, MORDEN.

We start the year with the enrolement and tutored  still life workshop.

OCT 12th. Tutored workshop with two exotically clothed models.

               NOV 8th -- 13th. EXHIBITION at The gallery, Wimbledon Library.

NOV 9th.Demonstration in mixed media with Soraya French.

DEC 7th Workshop on colour perspective with Karen Pearson.

JAN 11th 2011 Demonstration in acrylics with Fiona Hooper.

FEB 8th Demonstration in mixed media with Liz Seward.

MARCH 8th Tutored workshop, fabric and jewellery.

APRIL 12th Demonstration by Christine Hopkins, semis - abstract collage.

MAY 10th. Tutored lifeclass with Greg Lindsey and model.

           MAY 16th - 21st. EXHIBITION at The Gallery, Wimbledon Library.

JUNE 14th Outdooe painting, Wimbledon Common.

JULY 12th Critique eve/AGM.

We have a varied and interesting programme, with something to suit everyone.

Visitors are welcome to our evening events at a cost of £5 00. per person.

Demonstrations

The group watches demonstrations from professional demonstrators on different aspects of painting, such as landscapes, portraits, water colours, oil painting, acrylics, mixed media or pastels.

Practical Sessions

Bring along pencils or paints and paper or canvas for our outdoor session of sketching or painting.
