Merton Art Society

Merton Art Society is an art group which meets one Tuesday a month for talks, practical sessions and critique sessions. It also exhibits twice a year. Everyone is welcome (complete beginners, painters and non-painters).

 Fees remain at £30 for the whole year.

Start time. 7 30pm at THE METHODIST CHURCH, BUCKLEIGH AVE. off MARTIN WAY, SW20 9JZ .  Finish time. 9 30pm  Buses 164 from Wimbledon & 413 from Morden.

April 10th. DAVID CRICK DEMONSTRATION. MARINE LANDSCAPE IN WATERCOLOUR.

May 8th. Chinese Brush painting. Demonstrator still to be confirmed.

May 14th - 19th. SPRING EXHIBITION AT WIMBLEDON LIBRARY UPSTAIRS GALLERY.
A chance to purchase affordable art from talented local artists during Library opening hours.

June 5th. OUTDOOR PAINTING AT ST. MARY'S CHURCH, MERTON PARK.

July 10th. A.G.M. coupled with a helpfull and friendly appraisal of members paintings.

We have a varied and interesting programme, with something to suit everyone.

Visitors are welcome to our evening events at a cost of £5 00. per person.

Demonstrations

The group watches demonstrations from professional demonstrators on different aspects of painting, such as landscapes, portraits, water colours, oil painting, acrylics, mixed media or pastels.

Practical Sessions

Bring along pencils or paints and paper or canvas for our outdoor session of sketching or painting.
