Youth Groups Development aims to support the development of voluntary sector youth and community groups across Merton, assisting them to deliver a high quality service to the young people they work with. I can offer assistance in relation to fundraising, organisational management and establishing good youth work practice and so enable groups to play an active part in the planning & delivery of Merton’s Youth Work Agenda.
This service works in close collaboration with the development team at MVSC, Merton Youth Service, Merton Youth Partnership and wider local authority in order to promote work with young people across Merton.
In short we will help groups to:

Offer quality support to young people

Give young people a voice & listen to their needs

Create opportunities for personal & social development

Provide fun & exciting educational activities - via high quality Youth Work interventions
Services Provided:
- An organisational health check to suggest areas for development & identify areas of good pracrtice
- Training on your groups' specific needs and access to local or national training opportunities
- Support to groups through voluntary youth group forums & Merton Youth Partnership
- Information on Local Authority Youth Services, transport & other youth support organisations
- Help with locating funding and support, specifically around local authority based opportunities
- A youth specific email service to support wider groups, focussing on areas of good practice, funding opportunities & programme ideas.
