NHS Sutton and Merton is developing a new Equality Scheme and Action Plan 2010-2013. The purpose of the Equality Scheme is to ensure that services they commission effectively address the following issues:

  • barriers to accessing health services;
  • differences in patient experience;
  • differences in health outcomes for different sections of the population; and
  • promoting equality and a working culture of anti-discrimination for all staff

They have produced a consultation document, and will be starting a 12 week consultation period with patients, public, partners and our staff from 22 June to 14 September. For more details click here.
