We welcome anyone affected by any cancer, offering friendship and support.
Come and meet us at our free to attend monthly evening talks.
Thursday February 9th;
Bernie Byrne, Centre Head of Maggie’s Centre, London
Bernie will talk us through the facilities and therapies available at Maggie’s Centre in
Charing Cross Hospital, Fulham Palace Road. Bernie has been at Maggie’s in Charing Cross
since it’s opening in 2008 and is returning to tell us how the services have developed and what is on offer to local cancer patients.
The Wimbledon Cancer Friendship Group is a voluntary organisation founded in 2006 with financial support and advice from Macmillan Support, with whom all our volunteers undergo regular training.
Our Monthly Evening Talks 7.30pm - 9pm:
Held on the second Thursday evening of every month, the free talks cover topics such as therapies, counselling, nutrition and exercise.
Afternoon Drop-in meetings
We hold informal weekly afternoon drop-ins for anyone affected by any cancer.
Come and chat to one of our volunteers to find out information about other local services, get emotional support, share experiences and make friends.
