The Learning Exchange helps voluntary and community organisations connect with children

The Learning Exchange web site helps schools broaden the range and raise the quality of extra-curricular activities provided for pupils.

Voluntary and community sector organisations offering extra-curricular activities are invited to join the web site's VCS Hub to raise their profile with schools and access support to help increase the quality of their provision.

Registering on the VCS Hub offers several benefits:

- Voluntary and Community Sector organisations can use their online profiles as well as the blogging facilities and forums on the Learning Exchange to market their extra-curricular offers to schools.

- There is access to free training and peer-to-peer support seminars across the country. The next round of training is taking place in October in London. Please visit www.learning-exchange.org.uk/freetraining to register.

- The Learning Exchange can promote the activities of VCS organisations in its weekly e-newsletters to members, and through its Twitter feed and Facebook page.

- VCS Hub members can take up a free offer of support to undertake the self-assessment process required to acquire the Canterbury Christ Church University Quality in Study Support (QiSS) First Steps quality mark.
