Be Clear on Cancer Campaign
Be Clear on Cancer: 28 August – end of September 2012
The Department of Health is launching a repeat of the national bowel cancer awareness campaign on 28 August which will run until the end of September 2012.
The campaign will raise public awareness of the symptoms of bowel cancer and encourage people with persistent symptoms to go to see their GP.
The campaign target audience are people over the age of 55 years. The national campaign will feature on national TV and radio.
Community groups, voluntary sector organisations and volunteers/cancer champions play an important role in raising awareness of cancer and early diagnosis. So, to help everyone prepare for this campaign the Department of Health, together with the National Cancer Action Team and Cancer Research UK, has developed a concise electronic briefing sheet with key information about the campaign for people working in the community.
The briefing sheet is below.
