Consortium announces a small grants programme for London youth groups
The Consortium of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) voluntary and community organisations is providing groups with £5000 to engage LGBT young people in the workings of London.
The grants are part of the Paul Patrick Awards 2010. Together with Sue Sanders, Paul Patrick was a founding member of LGBT History Month and made an incredible contribution to LGBT communities across the nation. The awards honour the memory of Paul Patrick and continue his legacy by enabling organisations to assist LGBT communities.
Youth groups based across London will be eligible to apply for grants of £500 for small projects to ensure LGBT young people are included, have opportunities to develop skills, forge links and combat social exclusion through events for LGBT History Month. A Get-Together event will be held for all the grant winners to share their experiences and learn from one another. Any youth group can apply for the grant, provided that the funding will directly impact LGBT people.
The application process closes on Friday 29 January, 5pm, and the winners will be announced at the Consortium’s Annual Conference and AGM on Saturday 30th January. The application process is simple and straightforward. Click here to download a copy of the application form and grant criteria.
