New Strengthening Families, Strengthening Communities programme starts in March
Merton's new Strengthening Families, Strengthening Communities (SFSC) programme starts in March and is looking for parents and carers to take part.
The programme is about helping children to develop both academically and emotionally. It looks to empower parents/carers by building on existing skills and developing new strategies for strengthening family relationships.
The aims of the programme are to:
- improve relationships between young people and their families,
- improve attendence at school, behaviour at both school, home and the wider community, and
- reduce the risk of offending behaviour.
SFSC is a 13-week programme running for four hours per session (including a meal).
