New support line for victims of hate crime

The Safer Merton partnership is working with Stop Hate UK to offer victims an experienced and confidential place to report hate crime. Stop Hate UK is an independent charity providing emotional and practical support for anyone who has experienced hate crime. It runs a 24-hour advice line on 0800 138 1625 and is able to speak to victims in their preferred language if required.

There will be a launch event for the service on 6 July at 2pm, Vestry Hall, Mitcham – for more details click here

Safer Merton is also consulting with voluntary and statutory agencies about the services they offer to victims of hate crime.
