Tree Warden Group Merton

We aim to raise awareness of trees, protect trees, help plant and maintain new woodlands, assist Friends of parks groups and other community groups, monitor street trees and encourage and sustain the greening of the London Borough of Merton.

We are one of few urban groups and part of a national organisation of 7500 volunteers run by the Tree Council

We are active in:

  • Running the annual Favourite Trees in Merton competition (see photos of winners in the gallery)
  • Planting woodlands
  • Managing woodlands and parks
  • Surveying trees 
  • Checking planning applications that affect trees
