Reminder: Wimbledon Village Fair 2012 - volunteers still wanted

Can you help make it a success? The Wimbledon Village fair is the biggest fundraising event of the year attracting up to 20,000 people and raising much needed funds for the services the Wimbledon Guild offers. It showcases a horse show, dog show, 150 stalls and various entertainments ensuring a fun day out for all. Supporting the Fair is a great way to support all Wimbledon Guild's services and it’s always an exciting day!

How can I help?
There are lots of tasks that need doing on the day including, but not limited to:

  • Setting up before the fair opens
  • Staffing an information point and providing information to visitors
  • Assisting the management of stallholders
  • Acting as the ‘eyes and ears’ of the fair, ensuring all is running as planned
  • Selling raffle tickets
  • Photography
  • Shaking collection buckets
  • Helping to take everything down after the fair

We will do our best to make sure you are doing the task of your choice and that you are with your friends/family etc if you choose to volunteer with someone else.
I would like to sign up
We need at least 100 volunteers to make sure the fair runs smoothly so please let me know if you, your friends and/or family are able to help for all or part of the day – it really is a fun experience!
The registration form is attached – please complete and return it to me by the end of April, or forward to any colleagues, friends or family that might be interested.
If you’re not yet sure if you’ll be available to help, I’ll be sending reminder emails out over the next few months so you’ll still be able to sign up at a later date (please keep June 23rd in your diary so you don’t forget!).
Thanks and regards,
